PVS 7.15 LTSR and SQL Server 2016

When connecting PVS 7.15 LTSR to MS SQL 2016, you’ll want to get the latest version of the SQL Native client which they have helpfully renamed to Microsoft® ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server® – Windows.

Using the supplied 2012 client tools will result in you not being able to connect.
